Sovereign Council had a release party Saturday at The Mansion. The local Kingston Symphonic Metal band has had international success and recognition with their first album New Reign.
Laniakea, the new CD, is already gaining attention.
"Laniakea is the name of our local galactic supercluster; home to our Milky Way. That’s why we went for a very galactic-looking cover for the album. I won’t say anything else about that at the moment because I don’t want to give too much away. Other than that, I really hope our album will speak for itself.”
These five talented musicians are giving a Canadian spin to the Symphonic Metal genre, and it is a great addition.
